Why Does IRCC Ask About the Story Behind a Study Plan?
A program name says what someone wants to study. What explains the choice? Why the story behind a study plan attracts attention.
A program title describes the course. It does not explain why a particular person chose it, or how that choice relates to their background. That gap is where a study explanation becomes interesting.
What does IRCC say about an explanation letter?
IRCC’s study-permit document guidance describes a letter explaining the purpose of studying in Canada and the applicant’s understanding of their responsibilities. It is part of a wider application, not a substitute for required evidence.
Why can the same course tell different stories?
A recent graduate and someone changing careers may have very different reasons for selecting the same program. Education, employment, timing and funding create context that a generic description of the school cannot capture.
Is there a universal winning format?
The official guidance does not turn a particular writing style into an approval guarantee. A polished letter and an eligible application are different things. The broader record, applicable requirements and individual circumstances remain part of the assessment.
For individual questions, private consultations with Transfigured Immigration provide a separate setting for discussing a person’s circumstances.
